Never again will I love", we think, because love is beautiful, but when one loses it, it hurts; it is then that we throw away the key from the heart, while crying over the lost love that we would have wanted so much eternal.

Then one day, we realize that this key, which we thought we had lost forever, magically reappears, to make us realize that the heart needs first and foremost to beat for the love of ourselves, and our inner child. It's at this moment that it's important to take this child in our arms, hug him and say to him: "I'm here for you and I love you infinitely". The child finally recognized and loved, takes a key out of his pocket, the one we had thrown away a long time ago...

This key after all, had never disappeared; our inner child kept it preciously on him and waited for the right time to give it back to us... It’s the key to the heart, the one that liberates feelings of rejection and abandonment which has made us suffer so much in the past. Finally free from his chains, the heart overflows with joy, finding love for itself and our inner child...

Nothing can separate us anymore, there is always love when we are together!

 I created this beautiful bracelet as a tribute to Louka, our beautiful female Siberian Husky, who died on July 14, 2019 at the venerable age of 14 and a half. Louka was exceptional, affectionate, sweet and very intelligent. We could call her a therapeutic dog because she had a very developed 6th sense and her reassuring presence was a balm on our hearts during the most difficult moments. Dogs cannot talk, but their loving and quiet presence mean so much more than useless words. This boundless and non-judgmental love they have for us makes life so much more pleasant! Louka's departure was, as you can imagine, an extremely painful moment, but out of love for her, we decided to let her go to the stars...

Louka, you are no longer suffering and we miss you terribly; we will never forget you! This bracelet, which I named Louka, has the colours that defined her: her cream coat, with beautiful eyes, one blue and the other brown.

I like the idea of keeping a little bit of her in this creation!

PARTONS LA MER EST BELLE #13022

 This sweet french melody "Partons la mer est belle" is part of a repertoire full of songs that my maternal grandmother used to sing to me frequently when I was a child. In her youth, my grandmother was a soprano-coloratura singer and was part of a choir in Charny, near Quebec City. I have several memories of her singing melodies that made me dream. I loved her piano that was sitting in the living room and I remember, among other things, the piano bench that contained dozens of booklets of "LA BONNE CHANSON". She asked me to choose the melodies I liked and together, sitting at the piano, we sang for hours. I really liked "Partons la mer est belle" and I associate it with the beautiful moments of my childhood. At that time, we used to drive every summer to the East Coast of the United States on a beach vacation. To make us wait on the long journey, my grandmother made my brother and I sing the melodies of the "Bonne Chanson".

Knowing that we were going to the sea, I shivered with pleasure to sing "Partons la mer est belle"... This song is part of Quebec culture and helps to celebrate the life of sailors and the sea by evoking its two sides... Today, whether we are in Quebec, France or the Maritime provinces, "Partons la mer est belle" is sung to children over and over again. Despite what we think, this song is not Canadian but is said to be of French origin and goes back to the 1800s. It was in 1920 that it first appeared in Canada with the lyrics we now know, adapted to the Acadian context. It was then popularized in the rest of the Canadian Francophonie in the 1940s following the publication of an anthology of Acadian songs by folklorist Anselme Chiasson.

I wanted to create this bracelet in the colours of the sea and the foam of the waves, in memory of these beautiful unforgettable moments of my youth and, of course, for my undeniable love of the sea...

CARNAVAL DE RIO #13024

 The Rio Carnival is the most important tourist event in the municipality of Rio and the most popular national holiday in Brazil, especially in Rio de Janeiro. It has become a true synonym for the celebration of Carnival in the country and even in the world. It takes place every year during the 4 days preceding Ash Wednesday, which is the day that marks the beginning of the Lenten season. The carnival takes place in the Sambodrome, a monumental avenue-shaped enclosure surrounded by terraces; more than 72,000 spectators attend the parade of huge and highly decorated floats and vibrate until dawn to the sound of deafening percussions. Under the rhythms of Samba, the carnival is the place of celebration, of all excesses, at the same time as it is a space to make political, social and cultural demands. Each samba school chooses a theme for its parade (the enredo).

The themes covered are very diverse and serve as the main theme of the parade. Thus, on this theme is written the samba do enredo which will be repeated ad libitum during the parade. Costumes and floats must also reflect this theme. In Rio, the carnival begins in the streets of the city with pre-carnival balls, batucadas and blocos. Usually, a bloco is organized by the residents of a neighbourhood and parades through the streets of that area.

These parades begin well before the carnival, the first being held more than 3 weeks before the official start of the festivities. During the carnival, balls are held in the various clubs of the city. The town hall also holds popular balls open to all in some of the city's traditional places, such as Cinelândia. The Rio Carnival has African origins, and this is evident when we consider the exotic costumes made from bone, feathers and sequins, and of course, when we think of Samba, which is now the main component of the Carnival festivities. The African slaves brought by the Portuguese developed samba with exhilarating rhythms that was adopted by all Brazilians. Many slaves settled around Rio after the abolition of slavery, which explains why Rio is at the heart of Samba culture today. There is still so much to say about this extraordinary Carnival, so I invite you to read more about it.

I have been to Brazil several times and I have extraordinary friends there; I must say that I miss them very much because they are all very open, warm and generous people... I have Brazil tattooed on my heart and I wanted to create a bracelet that represents the intensity and beauty of this magnificent and grandiose country.

Carnival, with its explosions of colour and music, expresses well the contagious joie de vivre of Brazilians and it is for this reason that I have chosen the shades of red, orange and yellow to personalize this bracelet that will leave no one indifferent.
